If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me about Facebook Ads and audiences, I’d be a millionaire. Not even joking.
It seems we all want the secret formula to easy and profitable Facebook Ads. Am I right?
Oh yes, I’m right.
The issue is, if we’re not willing to do the time, we won’t get those results. I didn’t start in Facebook ads and become a genius right away. No way Jose!
It’s taken me years and if you aren’t familiar, Facebook likes to keep us on our toes. They change things up and when we thought we’ve figured out the missing link, things change again.
Now don’t let that discourage you… when you allow yourself some grace and you start deep diving, you’ll start to get the hang of it.
Before you even step into Facebook Ads, you need to know your purpose with them. That will help you determine how you will use the audiences I’m going over. I’ll create a separate post on this in a little bit and I’ll link here when it’s done. For now, I just want to share some the common sense Facebook Ads Audiences you should be using.

Facebook Ads Audiences
These audiences are super easy for you to create and so helpful for you to start seeing results a bit faster if you have the offer for your clients (and audiences).
Outside of your current clients, this is the absolute warmest traffic you can use to create lower cost per conversions and deeper connections with faster.
In order to create a custom conversion around your list, all you’ll need to do is go into Ads Manager and go into audiences and create your custom audience. You’re only able to upload .csv files.
You can normally just export a copy of your list from your email provider.
A lookalike audience is an audience that Facebook creates similar to an audience that you uploaded. It monitors the behaviors, actions, pages we like, etc that we move around online and then creates an audience similar.
For example, if you have a current customer list of people who’ve bought from you and it’s big enough, you can upload it to your Custom Audiences and create a lookalike around it so that you get people who have similar behaviors and habits. This is a powerful tool when used correctly and again, can reduce your cost per conversion.
Someone who has already been to your website is way more keen to sign up for something from you because they obviously had some interest in what you do.

Most Facebook Ads Managers say do NOT create Facebook Like Campaigns because it’s a waste of money. Well, I beg to differ. When we are launching for clients, warm traffic has lower conversion costs which stretches your moola.
In this picture below, this is a picture of conversion costs for a client’s FB Fan Page. The other adsets weren’t super high ($2 – 3 per conversion) but this is the power of a warm market.
I don’t want to beat the horse, I know he won’t appreciate that but I’ve said it a few times – Warm Audience 😉
As you can see… this warmer traffic thing is really catching on.
I told you the audiences are pretty common sense but common sense isn’t always common practice and if your ads manager (or you) aren’t using these for your launch or list building, ask her/him to add these in.
